We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director (Cost Control) to join our busy and expanding, Defence team, who are undertaking a range of Controls & Performance duties on several high-profile Infrastructure Projects/Programmes. This will be to work on growing our cost capability in the Southwest. Additionally, this role will provide the opportunity to innovate, collaborate and learn from our experienced and award-winning Cost Control community and wider extensive Controls and Performance Network. Key Deliverables: Working alongside project delivery teams as part of a wider cost control team and leading experienced cost professionals, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: Leading teams of Cost Control professionals on complex projects or programmes. Driving continuous improvement in cost control (and interfacing project controls) processes to create efficiency and increasing benefits to our clients. Driving the implementation, embedding and roll-out of any identified changes to cost control processes. Appropriately selecting, implementing, administering, and maintaining cost control systems and procedures to track project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts. Lead the team and provide guidance on production of accruals to ensure that the Actual Cost of Work Performed is accurately reflected in a timely manner in the cost data. Provide subject matter advice and manage the development of reporting tracking tools, where required, and generate Cost reports on a regular basis, including evaluation of earned value. Defining how to build and assure project forecast to account for all residual works in the Estimate to Complete (ETC) and the development of the Estimate at Completion (EAC) incorporating required supply chain information. Managing and leading the production of cost reports to a defined reporting cycle. Providing Cost information and subject matter advice, where required, to the project team to develop status reports, keep management informed on project progress, and to support performance management decision making. Present / provide performance recovery recommendations to relevant stakeholders and senior management to support effective decision making. Supporting T&T’s recruitment activities to grow and develop the project controls capability.
