Talent Acquisition Specialist – Serco Business Services
£300 - £350 UMB per day
3 Month contract - potential to extend
Location: Solihull, Birmingham
We’re looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Business Services team, playing a key role in attracting and hiring top talent across multiple business areas. This is a highly visible, business-facing role where you’ll partner with hiring managers, develop recruitment strategies, and drive an exceptional candidate experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Workforce Planning – Collaborate with business leaders to understand recruitment needs, translating these into effective hiring strategies.
• Strategic Advisory – Build deep knowledge of your business area and provide data-driven recruitment insights to hiring managers.
• Process Expertise – Guide hiring managers through the SuccessFactors recruitment system, ensuring smooth and efficient hiring processes.
• Volume Recruitment – Lead large-scale hiring campaigns, ensuring a seamless and effective approach to bulk recruitment.
• Project Management – Contribute to TA transformation programmes, leading on key workstreams and process improvement
• End-to-End Recruitment – Manage the full hiring cycle, from briefing calls and sourcing to offers and onboarding.
• Stakeholder Management – Develop strong relationships with hiring managers and business leaders, ensuring recruitment aligns with organisational goals.
• Direct Sourcing – Proactively source candidates using job boards, social media, headhunting, and talent pooling strategies.
• Employer Branding – Represent Serco as an ambassador, ensuring all recruitment activity aligns with our brand and values.
What We’re Looking For
• Experience in in-house or agency recruitment, managing roles across different levels and functions.
• Proven expertise in direct sourcing (Boolean searches, LinkedIn, networking).
• Strong stakeholder management skills in a complex, matrixed environment.
• Ability to manage high-volume recruitment campaigns efficiently.
• Comfortable working with KPI-driven environments and meeting SLAs.
• Experience using ATS systems (SuccessFactors knowledge is a plus).
• Solid understanding of employment legislation, compliance, and pre-employment vetting .
• Excellent communication, organisation, and planning skills .
This role requires regular site visits to operational locations, so flexibility and a hands-on approach are essential.
