Electrical Supervisor – CompEx (ATEX/DSEAR)\n\nManchester | £49,000 - £53,000\n\nAre you an experienced Electrical Supervisor with CompEx certification? Join our team and take the lead in delivering high-quality work within hazardous areas while fostering collaboration and ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.\n\nWhat You'll Do - Operational Activities\n\nSupervise and deliver electrical installations, maintenance, and testing in hazardous areas.\nEnsure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.\nAct as the technical lead, providing expertise on CompEx standards and procedures.\nRead and interpret technical drawings, schedules, and schematics.\nDiagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems and components.\nLiaise with project managers and field engineers to ensure smooth workflows.\nImplement and monitor compliance with company procedures and safety systems.Administrative and Documentation Activities\n\nPrepare and deliver risk assessments and method statements, briefing staff as needed.\nComplete detailed reports on completed work, including inspection and testing schedules.\nMaintain accurate records of training, equipment inspections, and compliance audits.\nOrder and manage necessary materials and equipment.\nHealth, Safety, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ)\nConduct toolbox talks and foster proactive SHEQ compliance.\nOversee PPE usage and inspect tools and equipment for safety compliance.\nEnsure adherence to ISO standards, DSEAR, and Electricity at Work Regulations.Business Development\n\nIdentify opportunities to enhance efficiency, customer satisfaction, and business growth.\nCollaborate with business units to optimize resource sharing and promote services.\nSupport client relationship management and assist in project quoting processes.Site and Technical Responsibilities\n\nProduce and implement site-specific risk assessments and method statements.\nConduct site audits and inspections to drive improvements.\nPlan and allocate resources based on project priorities and team skills.\nRespond promptly to faults, identifying and resolving root causes.What We're Looking For - \nKnowledge, Skills, and Experience\n\nCompEx certification (minimum Ex01 - Ex04) with hazardous area experience.\nStrong understanding of health and safety regulations, including BS EN 60079 and BS7671.\nProven expertise in electrical testing, maintenance, and installations.\nSkilled in planned and reactive maintenance processes.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software tools.Interpersonal and Leadership Skills -\n\nExcellent communication skills for effective collaboration.\nProactive decision-making and sound judgment.\nStrong leadership and mentoring abilities to develop team members.\nProblem Solving and Decision Making\nSystematic approach to diagnosing and resolving technical issues.\nConfident in decision-making within role boundaries, consulting when necessary.What’s in It for You?\n\nCompany Van and Fuel Card\n25 days of annual leave + 8 bank holidays\nPension scheme\nLife Assurance\nEmployee Assistance Programme\nCycle-to-work scheme\nRefer-a-friend schemeIf you meet all the criteria for this role, we can't wait to hear from you!\n\nIf this particular role isn't the perfect fit, please explore other opportunities on our careers page (url removed) The Company\n\nAt Z-Tech Control Systems, we specialize in delivering MEICA support to the UK's Water, Energy, and Adjacent Market industries.
