Your Role as Deputy Manager As Deputy Manager, you will work alongside the Registered Manager to ensure outstanding care and support for young people, leading the team and driving best practices. Your key responsibilities will include: Delivering High-Quality Care – Assisting in the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards. Leading and Developing the Team – Motivating, supervising, and mentoring a dedicated team to provide the highest level of care. Managing Individualised Care Plans – Overseeing and updating personalised care plans tailored to each young person's educational, emotional, and health needs. Safeguarding Leadership – Acting as the safeguarding lead, ensuring the safety and protection of all young people in the home. Driving Best Practice – Implementing policies and procedures to maintain high standards, compliance, and consistency. Stepping into Leadership – Taking responsibility for the home in the Registered Manager’s absence, ensuring seamless operations and continued excellence in care. What We Are Looking For We are seeking an ambitious, proactive, and compassionate leader who is committed to delivering exceptional care. The ideal candidate will have: Experience – At least two years in a residential children’s home setting, with a strong understanding of EBD needs. Qualifications – Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent). Regulatory Knowledge – A solid understanding of The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Ofsted Inspection Framework. Leadership Skills – Strong team management, communication, and organisational abilities. Ambition and Drive – A clear motivation to progress into a Registered Manager role.
