Our London studio, based in Islington, has positions available for Interior Designers to work on exciting and innovative corporate workplace projects across the UK and EMEA. This is the chance to join our award winning and renowned team to work across multiple sectors for blue chip organizations - ranging from major refurbishment to occupier fit out both in the UK and Europe.
Position Summary:
The Interior Designer is responsible for performing as part of a team in their design efforts toward solving client requirements. The successful candidate will work with the Project Lead and the team throughout the design process, on one, or several smaller projects concurrently. Duties include -
* Working with Design Team to create Design Solutions
* Working with the team to Create presentations to communicate the design to clients
* Selection of Furniture, materials and finishes within budget
* Working in the team to complete Technical Design and detailing
* Site support and monitoring duties where required
* Contribute to our office and firm culture, initiatives, mentorship and talent development
* Attend industry and HLW events
Reporting Structure
Position reports to the Design Director and Lead Designer(s) on projects
Qualifications:
* Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related discipline
* 3-5 years of professional design experience.
* REVIT experience required
* Skilled in computer graphics software including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, 3-D Modeling Software, MS Office Suite.
* Strong communication, graphic, and verbal presentation skills.
* Knowledge of building and building codes.
* Knowledge of the current BREEAM / LEED or eq rating systems and/or other sustainable initiatives.
* Beginning knowledge of construction and furniture costs in order to design to established budgets.
* Beginning knowledge of coordinating and integrating MEP systems into a project.
* Beginning knowledge of current best practices in design and technologies.
* Beginning knowledge of material and furniture sourcing, costs, bid process, applicability.
