About the role:
Our client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team, where you will play a key role in optimizing project profitability through cost control and financial management by overseeing business planning, integrating new accounting systems (Xero & Eque2), and preparing financial reports and forecasts.
* You will collaborate with accounts and procurement departments to align strategies, maintain a subcontractor database, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
* Additionally, you will manage contract administration, ensuring compliance with JCT protocols and PO/sub-contract terms, and maintain a register of contracts and warranty obligations.
* In terms of design and project coordination, you will oversee services like Revit and BIM, ensuring efficient project delivery while coordinating with architects and engineers.
* You will also manage compliance with internal procedures, identify commercial risks, and advise on dispute resolution.
* As the primary contact for clients, you will foster strong relationships and ensure alignment with the Operations team on project performance.
About the benefits and rewards:
The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of £65,000-£80,000 per year, dependent on experience.

About the requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* 5-10 years of proven experience in Quantity Surveying or a similar commercial role
* within the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of cost management, procurement, and contract administration.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and risk management skills.
* Familiarity with legal frameworks, JCT contracts, and tendering processes.
* Proficiency in design tools such as Revit and BIM.
* Experience with financial systems such as Xero and Eque2 is a plus.
* Strong analytical skills.
