The Role
1. Reporting to the site DCM, you will have responsibility of supervising a team with Team Leader reporting to you.
2. Giving direction and monitoring performance that ensures the department runs efficiently and effectively within pre-set budget information.
3. Proactively motivating the team to achieve planned targets and deadlines by providing guidance, encouragement through engaging colleagues and developing their skills.
4. To ensure the operation achieves daily and weekly KPI targets.
5. Ensure department operates in line with all company and customer procedures and requirements relating to Health and Safety.
6. Being responsible for H&S on site. Reporting, investigating, and actioning safety concerns and accidents/incidents to drive safety culture on site.
7. Ensure any disciplinary action is carried out following company procedure and aim to resolve grievances on a day-to-day basis by leading by example.
8. Ensure the operation operates all such systems to the mutual benefit of the customer and the company. Raise and escalate issues where necessary.
9. Ensure effective communication throughout the operation communicating planned requirements providing information on performance, company news, and procedures.
10. Working closely with Transport and Stock department to maintain OTD.
11. Participate in site's social life and drive CI culture.
The Person
1. In-depth experience in warehouse planning & management.
2. Previous experience of all formal disciplinary processes including the grievance process.
3. Advanced experience with warehouse KPI management.
4. Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Office programs.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills.
6. Works well under tight deadlines with a keen eye for detail and a right first-time approach.
7. Experience of Kronos time management and Oracle is an advantage.
