Citadel Source is delighted to partner with a leading PLC to support the search of their new Management Accountant (Bristol/Glasgow).
The role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Management Accountant to join a leading organisation and play a key role in supporting financial decision-making. Though titled as Management Accountant, the role itself is business-facing and works closely with operational and commercial teams, with little accounts preparation entailed. In this role, you will provide financial insights, ensure accurate reporting, and contribute to bottom-up budgeting and forecasting processes.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will be a commercially minded finance professional with strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across different teams. A proactive approach and a willingness to challenge and drive improvements will be key to your success.
As the Management Accountant, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Acting as a business partner to operational, engineering, and commercial teams.
* Analysing management accounts, providing insightful commentary on performance.
* Tracking actuals vs forecast and analysing variances, investigating discrepancies and trends.
* Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring achievable targets and tracking progress.
* Driving process improvements to enhance financial reporting and decision-making.
* Providing costing support for internal business cases, bids, and tenders.
* Ensuring financial accuracy and integrity across all records.
* Covering for the Financial Controller during periods of leave.

Please Note:
Our client is open to hiring this role in either Glasgow OR Bristol, with offices in both locations. For candidates based in Bristol, there is a requirement to travel to Glasgow for four days per month, typically across two trips with travel and accommodation paid for. Those based in Glasgow will be expected to be in the office or out visiting regional sites for three days per week, with two days working from home.
