We have an immediate opening for an Army Software Electrical Engineer who will support the Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) Human Machine Integrated Formations (HMIF) Project Office (PO).
Position Description:
The HMIF PO will collaboratively develop two complex HMIF formations, one integrated formation for an Armor BCT and one formation for an Infantry BCT within 27 months. The Robotic Controller Integrator will ensure the HMIF common controller aligns with stakeholder requirements and has a smooth transition plan to onramp to a Program of Record office post prototype development.
Responsibilities:
* Successful Integration of HMIF Common Controller.
* Leading Controller Integration.
* Work/interface with and support DOTmLPF stakeholders across the HMI enterprise.
* HMIF Common Controller interface requirements development, design, transition plan stakeholder coordination.
* Advising, coordinating, scheduling, and remaining abreast of engineering and technical support activities applicable to the Common Controller sub-system development and capability integration.
* Provides integrated, multi-disciplinary solution recommendations for resolution of technical problems.
* Participates in the development and execution of test strategies.
* Ascertains HMIF Common Controller Technology readiness Level.
* Participates in Common Controller budgetary discussions.
Requirements:
* 10 plus years of hands-on experience applying integration principles across both hardware and software systems. Fewer years of experience will be considered based on complexity and success of the experience.
* Requirements development and decomposition.
* Past experience in user interface design, hardware and/or software.
* Engineering Integration of systems of systems, system and sub-system level.
* ICD and IOP development.
* Testing Experience.
* Experience in the skills and responsibility areas described above.
Additional Desired Experience:
* Familiarity with DoD 5000 acquisition lifecycle processes.
* Superior writing skills inclusive of developing technical system-level specifications.
* Excellent communications skills including the ability to generate and deliver focused briefings on complex topics to senior leaders.
