Job Description
As a Lead Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the full life cycle delivery of the project in both technical compliance and quality. Attending meetings with clients to discuss the design, surveys, software programming, configuration, testing and commissioning.
You will bring an innovative approach to problem solving and work with highly skilled engineers to help you develop and succeed in your career.
You will also be responsible for managing and motivating a team of engineers to get the best delivery output, which includes mentoring our graduates and apprentices.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar environment and good knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, HMI, variable speed drives and instrumentation products.
Full-time position (08:30-17:15 Monday to Thursday and 08:30-16:00 on Fridays)
What we are looking for:
1. Experience in designing control systems PLC and HMI/SCADA software and making amendments/upgrades to existing system software.
2. Experience in producing project documentation.
3. Competence in the programming of PLCs like Siemens, Rockwell, or Mitsubishi PLCs AND / OR competence in programming SCADA systems like Siemens, Rockwell or Wonderware HMI/SCADA platforms.
4. UK Sites commissioning (which may involve short periods away from home).
What we require from you:
1. Previous Lead control systems experience (5 years+).
2. Software Engineering Degree and/or Electrical qualifications.
3. Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens Mitsubishi PLCs or experience of SCADA systems like Wonderware, Iconics, Schneider or other platforms.
4. Good verbal and written communication skills.
5. Clean UK Driving License.
6. Must be eligible to work in the UK.
