The successful post holder will work as part of the Urgent Care Response Service team, undertaking an initial triage assessment and working with individuals to support risk management and safety plans for people in crisis.
The role will also include signposting and referring to appropriate services, and there is an expectation that the post holder will build strong links with 3rd sector and partner agencies to collaboratively support the needs of an individuals in crisis.
Main duties of the job

The role will also include signposting and referring to appropriate services, and there is an expectation that the post holder will build strong links with 3rd sector and partner agencies to collaboratively support the needs of an individuals in crisis.
The role also includes receiving and triaging NHS 111 referrals, audits and data collection.

Qualifications
Essential
1. NVQ Level 3 in health and social care or equivalent experience
Desirable
2. Honours degree in psychology Advanced IT and keyboard skills
3. Related academic qualifications
Knowledge
Essential
4. An understanding of confidentiality issues and how they relate to mental health policy and practise interventions
5. Sound knowledge of current professional staff development and continuous service improvement issues particularly in context to adult mental health services
6. Demonstrate an understanding of the principles and implementation of anti-discriminatory practise
7. Demonstrate an understanding of care plans including risk management planning and safety plans
8. Demonstrate an understanding of supervision
9. Demonstrate knowledge of the support workers role within CPA
10. The ability to communicate complex and sensitive information where barriers to understanding may exist for example requiring empathy and reassurance
11. The ability to make judgments involving a range of facts or situations requiring analysis and comparison of a range of options also skills for assessing individuals on the phone
Desirable
12. Evidence of having published in either peer review or academic or professional journals
13. Ability to use spreadsheets databases for example excel access
14. Knowledge of mental health legislation and policies
15. An understanding of a psychosocial approach
