About The Role
Here at ARAG UK Group, we have an excellent new opportunity for a Senior Claims Handler to join the team in our Bristol Office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a varied caseload of legal expenses claims with a value of up to £25,000 and you will use your excellent customer service skills to liaise with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including solicitors, brokers and accountants as well as personal customers. in both verbal and written communications. This is a fast-paced role, so organisational and prioritising skills are key, and we’re looking for candidates who can demonstrate empathy and resilience whilst meeting SLAs and working within established procedures. Ideally, you’ll have a strong background in Legal Expenses claims or alternative types of general insurance as you’ll act as a touchpoint for your colleagues and work across all claim types.

As a Senior Claims Handler you can expect to:
1. Manage a diverse range of claims, with a focus on providing excellent customer service to our customers.
2. Oversee the customer experience throughout the claim life-cycle from first point of contact to investigating evidence and making informed decisions on claims outcomes, displaying empathy and compassion throughout.
3. Provide clear, concise and accurate information to our customers, business partners and internal customers.
4. Quickly develop your knowledge of ARAG products and policies to become an expert in assessing and identifying claims, and managing appointments of litigators and solicitors where necessary.
About You
We are looking for candidates that can demonstrate:
5. An understanding of delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
6. A drive to work in a customer facing or technical role
7. Experience in working in a claims environment in general insurance, or in legal services.
8. A calm and patient manner when dealing with challenging and emotional claims; and
9. Excellent verbal and written communication.
