An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Business Support Manager to work within Velindre University NHS Trust (VUNHST). The post holder will work with the Executive Medical Director and Executive Director of Nursing, AHP & Health Science to ensure the successful delivery of the Trust's collaborative strategic clinical and scientific requirements.
The role will be based at Trust Headquarters, Nantgarw. This will include a hybrid working arrangement with a typical working week involving 3 days office based and the remainder working remotely. There will also be a requirement for the post holder to work from other sites across the Trust.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
This includes:
* To ensure efficient and effective strategic clinical & scientific support to the Executive Medical Director and Director of Nursing, AHP & Health Science.
* To manage delivery of the Trust's Clinical and Scientific Strategy including the co-ordination and management of all refreshes and the delivery plan.
* Provide business support, to deliver and drive required clinical & scientific strategic work programmes, ensuring they are delivered in line with scope, meet organisational and divisional requirements and are on schedule. Project manage and provide leadership to clinical and scientific strategic improvements/projects.
* Undertake national and international benchmarking.
* Analysis and interpretation of key clinical and scientific strategic information in order to support key strategic decision making.
* Manage and co-ordinate the Trust's Schwartz Rounds to help share key learning from clinical and scientific events.

* Recognised management qualification or educated to masters level in a relevant subject e.g. Business Management, or equivalent experience.
