The Senior Project Accountant is responsible for financial management and reporting of the GMA vehicle programs. Key Responsibilities Supporting the Financial management of GMA vehicle programs, working alongside the Program Management function and balancing cost, quality and timing variables with appropriate, timely KPIs. Calculation and regular updating of Program Business cases, recommendation of corrective actions if actual/forecast deviates to budget. Control of resource profile and reporting. Breakdown of high-level program targets to detail functional and commodity targets; obtain buy-in for achievement and report against achievement. Program costed Bill of Materials maintained. Work with Cost Engineering to support nomination process and specific cost reduction initiatives. Ad hoc projects to support the Project Controller and members of the GMA team, eg material cost escalators. Use of the IFS ERP system for Program Financial Control. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Part Qualified ACMA or ACA or equivalent. Strong and proven experience in a similar role ideally in automotive. Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and communication at all levels of the organisation. Strong problem solving and ability to make decision recommendations based on accurate and timely analysis. High level of integrity and dependability. Organised, persuasive, resourceful, flexible, ambitious, self-directing, passion for delivering objectives, comfortable challenging existing processes.
