Job Description Based at Oracle's UK headquarters in Reading, you will join an established legal team supporting UK Sales on major deals for customers across all lines of business. As legal counsel you will draft, review, and negotiate technology contracts with public and private sector customers, including cloud services agreements, licensing agreements, and professional services agreements. The Candidate Must be UK qualified with at least 5 years relevant experience from a leading law firm or with appropriate in-house experience. Must have significant experience in drafting complex IT agreements and advising clients on commercial tech deals. Must be self-starting and have proven ability to manage a fast-paced workload and to work as part of a team. General Responsibilities - Responsible for legal support to sales teams across various industry sectors- Independent handling of contracts' negotiation and drafting- Continuous interface with commercial approvers and related risk management- Close liaison with Business Practices and Contract Specialist organisations Legal Functions - Draft and negotiate major or complex non-standard agreements - Advise the Business on structure of contractual relationship, including appropriate documents to use - Respond to ad hoc queries, providing appropriate legal solutions - Identify, analyze, and evaluate risks - Work closely with other lawyers throughout Oracle- Ensure compliance with Oracle business practices, policies, and procedures Required Skills - Solicitor or barrister qualified to practice in the UK (5yrs PQE) - Fluent in English - High-level legal drafting skills - Extensive knowledge extensive of cloud services - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Negotiation skills - Presentation skills Career Level - IC4 Responsibilities Responsible for providing legal advice to the organization. Close liaison to business in providing a variety of corporate and commercial legal services. May perform litigation on Oracle's behalf or coordinates litigation and other legal, administrative or investigative actions handled by outside counsel. May draft, review, and negotiate major and/or non-standard technology contracts with public and private sector customers, including licensing agreements, professional services agreements, and cloud services agreements. May advise on legal issues involving government and regulatory compliance. Responds to ad hoc queries to include identification, analysis, and evaluation of risks in order to provide appropriate legal solutions. Works closely with other lawyers throughout Oracle and coordinates legal matters handled by outside lawyers.
