Job Description:
What will you be doing?
* Ensure compliance with relevant UK & Ireland legislation as well as Bosch Central Directive "Customs".
* Be the first point of contact for all foreign trade related topics and provide customs and compliance awareness trainings for LE associates.
* Provide regular updates and information exchange with other UK LE contacts within the OSD4 network.
* Develop and maintain cost efficient foreign trade processes and where possible/relevant, apply for beneficial customs procedures and authorisations.
* Monitor and support the internal/external operations to ensure importations are carried out in line with operational and legal requirements.
* Management of external customs brokers, monitoring of their KPIs and drive their operational improvements.
* Monitor export activities to ensure the export procedure is closed properly and proof of export is available.
* Advise on Preferential Origin and ensure the calculation, maintenance and documentation of all preferential statements.
* Carry out broker audits and evaluation of our contracted external service providers on an annual basis.
* Be the on-site contact for AEO co-ordination along with supporting the rest of the DCGB business.
* Coordinate customs audits (internal/external) and ensure all documentation is available for the audit team(s).
* Archive customs clearance relevant data and documents (including original preferential documents).
* Provide technical support on existing and future trade agreements relevant to the UK and Ireland.
* Working alongside the relevant internal departments, ensure the supplier base are providing goods and services to Bosch in a cost efficient and compliant way.

* An understanding with regards to classification, valuation, and preferential origin.

* Strong IT skills, Microsoft packages and SAP (or relevant ERP system).
