We are seeking a committed and experienced Functional Skills Tutor to work on a one-to-one basis with a Key Stage 3 pupil in Nottinghamshire. The role involves supporting a vulnerable young learner who requires additional assistance with academic progress, behaviour, and engagement.
We welcome applications from educators with a strong background in behaviour management and a proven ability to deliver personalised Functional Skills sessions that also support emotional wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver tailored Functional Skills lessons suited to the pupil’s learning level and individual needs
* Provide consistent, structured behavioural support in a one-to-one learning setting
* Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging environment that encourages progress
* Track and encourage both academic and personal development
Ideal Candidate:
* Experienced in working with young people who present behavioural challenges
* Confident teaching Functional Skills at Key Stage 3 level
* Able to work independently and build positive, professional relationships with pupils
* Holds, or is willing to apply for, an enhanced DBS on the Update Service
