In this role, you'll be at the heart of operations, collaborating closely with the purchasing and production teams to craft seamless production schedules.
You'll be the mastermind ensuring everything runs smoothly, from the availability of materials to the right people being in place to get the job done. Your expertise will help keep the business' production lines humming and ensure they stay on top of their game, delivering products on time and to schedule!
What You'll Be Doing:
1. Work hand-in-hand with the manufacturing team to coordinate detailed production schedules
2. Keep stock levels in check and make sure lead times and shortages are no match for their plans
3. Master the art of resource allocation to optimise production efficiency
4. Handle daily production documents like a pro!
5. Stay sharp by reviewing sales data to tweak build plans and prevent stock issues
6. Be the point person for supplier coordination to guarantee timely delivery of materials and services
7. Keep MRP/ERP system up to date with material, supplier, and planning data
8. Be the communicator between sales and production teams, ensuring everyone is aware of any supply challenges
What You'll Need:
1. Experience in planning and buying in a manufacturing setting is essential
2. CIPS qualification or equivalent is a big plus although the business will support you in completing this to further your development
3. Solid understanding of planning and procurement principles
4. MRP/ERP system experience is preferred
5. Great problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions
6. A knack for working in cross-functional teams and building strong external relationships
7. Exceptional organizational skills to juggle multiple priorities

Additional Information:
1. Salary: Starting £30,000 (depending on experience)
