A Scheme Manager's job is varied and no two days are the same! You'll support our residents at Martlet Court, our sheltered housing scheme in the heart of Brighton.
Responsibilities include:
1. Dealing with day-to-day enquiries relating to the schemes.
2. Supporting residents to live independently and working with external agencies to ensure residents access the right services.
3. Ensuring the scheme is safe and all health and safety checks are carried out in line with policies and procedures.
4. Monitoring budgets and service charge accounts, ensuring residents' homes are well maintained and repairs are completed to a high standard.
5. Taking ownership and fully investigating any complaints received, including anti-social behaviour.
6. Monitoring cleaning, gardening, and other contractors' performance when on site, ensuring that works are completed to a satisfactory standard.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Certificate in Supported Housing, Chartered Institute of Housing or equivalent (preferred but not essential or willing to work towards).
2. Knowledge of Housing Benefit requirements and criteria.
3. A wide knowledge of health and social issues that may affect our residents.
4. At least two years of housing experience in a similar or related field (essential).
5. Ability to deal with challenging and emergency situations in a calm manner.
6. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
7. GCSE level C (or equivalent qualification) in Maths and English (essential).
8. Ability to drive with access to own vehicle due to some SHC locations being in rural areas (some scheme managers may be asked to travel to other schemes in an emergency situation).

1. Employment Type: Permanent
2. Hours: 30 hours per week (Monday - Friday, some hybrid working is also available).
3. Pay: £22,386.00 Annually
