As HSE Coordinator, you are responsible for helping to maintain a safe working environment and ensure legal compliance by providing specialist H&S and Environmental Knowledge and support in line with the Company's policies and objectives.
The role holder will endorse the ALPLA management standards and corporate HSE strategies.
Tasks & Responsibilities (not limited to)
* Introduce safe systems to reduce injuries and execute improvement plans.
* Track and report on the risk level KPI.
* Provide HSE advice and support to managers.
* Provide technical support for matters of HSE. Seek regional support and training when required.
* Assure corporate HSE projects are completed in the timelines for the HSE strategies.
* Ensure new employee inductions and refreshers are carried out in a timely manner.
* Track the risk register, organize internal and external review.
* Report incidents and injuries according to the company guidelines and legal requirements.
* Undertake accident/incident/near miss investigations including root cause analysis, ACD reporting, and lessons learned.
* Organise a schedule of inspections for safe operations and statutory compliance to be distributed to responsible managers.
* Monitor contractors according to PTW system.
* Chair and minute HSE meetings. Support RoES.
* Partake in management review.
* Undertake COSHH assessments and audits.
* Create tool-box talks, briefings, and news items to communicate topics using a variety of media.

Skills/Qualifications
* Health and Safety coordination experience within a manufacturing environment – minimum 2 years.
* Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people at shop floor and management level.
* A keen eye for detail and safety.
* Agile and responsive to change.
