About the job
Pearson has a number of opportunities in our Content Production Team for Content Production Managers. You will be responsible for leading the end-to-end processes of a specified set of secure assessment-related content for Pearson Qualifications. This content can include question papers, mark schemes, pre-release materials, onscreen tests, sample assessment materials, and exemplar materials.
You will be accountable for producing error-free assessment content delivered to deadlines and meeting defined quality criteria compliant with the OfQual Code of Practice and equivalent standards.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Content Production: Lead and facilitate the completion of all tasks related to the production of assessment content, from commissioning and contracting Assessment Associates to ensuring the delivery of content to centres.
2. Quality Management: Operate within the agreed assessment content production Quality Plan, ensuring adherence to procedures and maintenance of records. Facilitate and support successful Question Paper Evaluation Committee (QPEC) or Review meetings.
3. Project Management: Regularly review the status of content production, raise risks, and update your line manager and partners on progress. Implement necessary and innovative measures to ensure all materials meet agreed time and quality criteria.
4. Relationship Management: Build and maintain successful relationships with all external and internal partners to facilitate a successful production process, ensuring excellent customer service.
5. Document Management: Handle all documentation relating to the production process ensuring accurate version control and the use of appropriate templates.
6. Production Development: Continuously review and update methods and processes used to produce assessment materials, supporting and maximizing technological advances.
Support Material, User Acceptance Testing and Technology:
1. Work with Pearson systems to conduct content-related tasks (ePEN, CaST, Results Plus).
2. Manage all secure uploads to the website.
3. Ensure maintenance of secure and non-secure documents on the website.
4. Support the production of all modified papers, including Welsh and Irish translations.

11. Understanding of the 10-stage process for assessment content development.
12. Experience with a workflow management package.
13. Experience in the development of assessment content.
