What You’ll Be Doing You’ll be working with primary and secondary schools, colleges, and universities to deliver curriculum-linked activities that will increase students understanding of nature and the environment. Your day to day will include developing, planning, and delivering courses in outdoor teaching sites to students on science and geography school trips. This will involve leading groups of all abilities in the local environment, ensuring you always have the health and safety of the group in mind. When you are not working in the field, you will also be happy to contribute to other aspects of working in a busy education centre. Where you’ll be based Field Studies Council Bishops Wood is a Day Centre which has an established reputation. It is surrounded by stunning ancient woodland and has a unique and sustainable centre building. The grounds are also home to a large pond and several outdoor learning areas with natural wood and willow sculptures. The site is in Worcestershire close to the River Severn and Wyre Forest and is a short drive from the M5. Who We’re Looking For You will have a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject and some previous experience of teaching or tutoring. You will also be confident with producing and preparing various learning resources.
