Hours: 32.5 hours per week – Term Time only + 5 days holiday during periodBlaengwawr Primary School is situated in the community of Aberaman in Aberdare and currently have 223 pupils on roll aged between 3 and 11. The school has strong links with the community and a supportive, pro-active Governing Body. The Governing Body of this caring, inclusive school is seeking to appoint a School Clerk to join our staff team. We are looking for a candidate who:- • Is highly organised • Has good interpersonal skills; particularly being approachable as the first contact people will have with the school • Is able to deal with complex matters relating to the school community in a confidential manner • Is confident operating SIMS, Finance and iTrent computerised systems • A good role model for pupils, staff and parents • Able to work efficiently and effectively as part of the staff team • Uses their own initiative, is flexible and self-motivated • Wants to develop their skills Within the role you will need to:- • Take a lead role in the development and maintenance of record/information systems including iTrent, SIMS, Finance etc • Provide detailed analysis and evaluation of data and produce detailed reports/information as required • Maintain registers and attendance systems and procedures • Be responsible for the management, auditing and ordering of resources • Be able to monitor budget expenditure monthly and report to the governing body finance committee • Be IT competent with a good knowledge of Hwb, Teams and Microsoft programmes We can offer you:- • An inclusive and welcoming school community of staff, pupils, parents and governors • A strong commitment to your professional development • The opportunity to work collaboratively with team members • The opportunity to develop your administration and financial management skills Shortlisting will be held on 3rd February 2025 Interviews will be held on 11th February 2025.
