Join Serco’s UK & Europe division as a Test Manager where you will play a crucial role in planning, overseeing, and executing a structured test strategy and plan to ensure Serco delivers releases on time, supporting the overarching programme milestones schedule. Your responsibilities will include developing test specifications and acceptance criteria with relevant workstream leads (both digital and non-digital) and ensuring alignment with the Authority. Additionally, you will prepare test reports in collaboration with the workstream leads.
This hands-on test management role will primarily focus on the development and execution of functional testing activities for specific system development requirements whilst also working proactively with the Authority and consortium partners to develop and support end to end cross boundary test cases and co-ordinated test delivery. You will work closely with the joint PMO to ensure that the test strategy and plans align with the programme implementation and associated milestone schedule.

Main responsibilities of the role:
* Develop Test plans and test scripts for all regression and functional test requirements.
* Ensure alignment of test requirements and plans with the Authority including following agile principles for the digital solution.
* Gain approval of co-ordinated test scripts and plans.
* Plan and over-see testing of releases in accordance with a strict, highly dependent release deployment schedule. Co-ordinate availability of test engineers from the scrum teams to support the test execution.
* Liaise with stakeholders to create a risk-based functional test plan (aligned to the programme test strategy), for each Vendor release, and identify any additional hardware, system or labour resources required.
* Ensure test scripts are complete and clear to execute.
* Oversee the test prep and execution of all testing across the programme.
* Liaise with stakeholders to create a release test plan and schedule for each release (will include elements from multiple consortium partners and subcontractors).
* Manage test prep and test execution of release testing.
* Report progress, risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating as appropriate.
* Support the Head of PMO & Transformation in internal and external programme review meetings.
What you’ll need:
* ISTQB Certified or similar.
* ITIL Certified.
* Proven experience in test management.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop QA resources.
* In-depth understanding of test automation, frameworks, and quality assurance strategies.
* Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate complex requirements and risks effectively.
* Experience in government or public sector projects is advantageous.
* Must be able to achieve SC clearance upon appointment.
