Reporting Lines: You will report into the Transport Manager Focus areas of the role: The success of the role will be measured against the effective implementation of the following focus areas: Plan and coordinate vehicle and driver schedules efficiently, ensuring jobs are completed on time and in the most cost-effective way. Process job schedules and reactive job requests from Account Managers and customers. Maintain up-to-date records in our transport management system (Syrinx) and prepare jobs for invoicing. Provide excellent communication with drivers throughout their shift. Respond promptly to any issues, including breakdowns or delays. Ensure compliance with all transport regulations and company policies. Ensure health and safety requirements are met across the department with improvement where possible. Raise all movement orders for Plant machinery, ensuring movement orders are in place prior to delivery of the products that fall within STGO. Success enablers: To be successful in this role you will need the following skills, behaviours, and abilities: Ability to work well in a team environment. Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail. Able to meet strict deadlines. Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak periods during the year. Education & Qualifications/Experience Basic knowledge of Plant. Good geographical knowledge of the UK. Proficient in computer literacy including Office 365. Excellent communication skills and the ability to succeed in a pressurised environment. Experience working in a fast-paced environment and be able to deal with day-to-day challenges in providing an effective transport plan. Why work for Lynch?
