Tasks Executing test plans to test development builds Finding and reporting bugs using JIRA to ensure quality Multiple platforms testing, including PC, console, and mobile, to maintain quality and consistency Performing certification test passes on alpha dev builds to prepare for submissions Delivering feedback via organized playtests using Google Docs to identify whether or not the game has room for improvement Participating in sprint planning via meetings with dev team to keep up to date with upcoming features Delivering stable, high quality titles for the studio by working closely with production and development teams Interacting directly with individual developers to further explore or identify detail about issues, to maximise bug fix efficiency Demonstrating (demoing) studio titles to third parties (on-site or off-site) to showcase the game Facilitating user testing sessions by working with the public to gain feedback in an unbiased way Requirements Essential 1 years experience executing test plans Experience working on and having shipped 1 titles Experience using QA tools such as JIRA and MS Office or G Suite Familiarity with testing on Consoles and/or Mobile platforms Experience providing feedback of player engagement, fun, and difficulty Experience with Agile development methodologies Desirable Experience participating in beta events, reporting issues and feedback to developers Awareness of certification requirements for platform submissions Experience with live-ops, update or patching process Experience with end-user testing Skills and Abilities Persistence; don’t give up Especially when tasks are repetitive and long Accuracy in identifying issues and their underlying causes within a game build Good knowledge of “usual” problem areas.
