You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as strong foundational knowledge of VM, Endpoint or Data Security, strong experience with AWS or Azure and Openshift, and strong knowledge of security network architectures such as Firewalls, DMZ, Proxies, DNS, web and mail servers, as well as job-specific technical skills.
Additional relevant skills in Python, PowerShell, and cloud technologies experience (Azure and SaaS based security technologies) are highly valued.
This role can be based in Knutsford, Glasgow or Northampton.
Purpose of the role
To develop, implement, and maintain solutions that support the safeguarding of the bank's systems and sensitive information.
Accountabilities
1. Provision of subject matter expertise on security systems and engineering patterns.
2. Development and implementation of protocols, algorithms, and software applications to protect sensitive data and systems.
3. Management and protection of secrets, ensuring that they are securely generated, stored, and used.
4. Execution of audits to monitor, identify, and assess vulnerabilities in the bank's infrastructure/software and support the response to potential security breaches.
5. Identification of advancements to support the innovation and adoption of new cryptographic technologies and techniques.
6. Collaboration across the bank, including developers and security teams, to ensure that cryptographic solutions align with business objectives, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
7. Development/Implementation and maintenance of Identity and Access Management solutions and systems.
