What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and inspirational teacher of science to join our experienced department with 6 fully equipped science labs and excellent technical support. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who really wants to make a difference to the lives of young people. Our single goal is ‘Students First’ and you will be joining a strong team of professionals led by an experienced head of department working to this sole aim. Student outcomes are excellent year on year. Studying the AQA specifications, over a third of our students study separate sciences. In 2024 82% of our students attained at least grade 4 and above, 68 % grade 5 and above and 24% grade 7 and above. Many of our students go on to pursue A Levels in science subjects post 16. We also run several enrichment activities at the end of the school day aimed at both supporting students in the run up to GCSEs and to widen the experiences of the subject by offering a KS3 science club.
