An Energy Systems Engineer is to join an organisation at the forefront of smart energy engineering. As an Energy Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing smart energy systems with a focus on carbon reduction (CaRe). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize energy usage and improve the overall efficiency of client operations. Responsibilities: - Develop and implement smart energy systems to reduce carbon emissions. - Analyze current energy consumption patterns and identify areas for improvement. - Design innovative solutions that maximize the use of renewable energy sources while minimizing waste. - Collaborate with internal teams to integrate smart technology into existing infrastructure, enabling efficient monitoring and control of energy systems. - Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed energy system projects. - Monitor and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, or anomalies that may impact system performance or sustainability goals. - Provide technical guidance and support to project teams during the implementation phase of new initiatives. - Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, regulations, and best practices related to smart energy systems. Skills: - Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies, including solar power, wind power, biomass conversion, etc. - Proficiency in using software tools for modeling complex systems. - Familiarity with advanced control strategies for optimizing power distribution in smart grids. - Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets effectively. - Possess strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines. - Experience in the design of mechanical building services. Qualifications: -A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required. -Minimum 5 years of experience working as an Energy Systems Engineer or similar role within the engineering industry, such as a Mechanical Design Engineer in the building services / M&E sector. -Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing smart energy systems. -Knowledge of carbon reduction strategies and initiatives. -Strong understanding of energy regulations and compliance requirements.
