Inclusion Support Worker. Full-time (Mon-Fri, 8:30-3:30). Provision in Leeds. Start date: November 2024. Pay rate: £90/day. A provision in Leeds is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Inclusion Support Worker to join their team from week c/ 4th November 2024 This is a scheduled absence within school and would be required until the end of the academic year. The young people’s needs may vary and may include Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties and associated behavioural difficulties. Your working day (Mon-Fri, 8.30am-3.30pm) will involve supporting pupils who may display challenging behaviour and have difficulties remaining in class. You will work closely with parents and guardians, and liaise with SLT, SENCO staff and behaviour support specialists to ensure pupils are supported fully and are progressing both personally and academically. You must be confident when approaching challenging behaviour and you must have a genuine passion for working with pupils with SEMH. You must be aware of the school’s behaviour policies and adhere to these, whilst also implementing relevant behaviour management strategies specific to individual students. Although previous experience working with pupils in a specialist setting is desirable, excellent teaching skills and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important. You will be working with KS3 and KS4 pupils, the majority follow a mainstream curriculum, however you are able to offer a more personalised approach when necessary. You will also be required to be support on a 1:1 basis with particular students.
