A vacancy has become available to work as part of the Supply Chain team on a fixed-term contract of 24 months due to the SAP S/4 Hana implementation project.
The Customer Supply Coordinator is the link between external sales, operational teams, and customers, promoting our operational excellence and elevating the customer experience.
We are looking for someone who is an expert communicator and relationship builder, who is willing to roll up their sleeves and get stuck into operational detail but also get the balance just right between operational efficiency and delivering exceptional customer service.
Reporting to the Customer Supply Manager, the principal tasks relate to:
1. Internal coordination of the short-, medium-, and long-term priorities of specific customers.
2. The use of SAP and Microsoft Excel to:
1. Input sales orders, issue stock reports and monitor stock levels, collate and maintain customer forecasts, and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) schedules.
2. Update pricing, process invoices, and accurately report daily and monthly sales figures to the wider business.
3. Providing a high level of professional customer service in all aspects of the supply chain journey from raw material purchasing and production planning right through to delivery and payment.
4. This includes, but is not limited to, new customer and/or product introductions/transitions, working towards achievement of the team and business KPIs, and assisting with the efficient handling of quality complaints by proactively liaising with internal departments as required.
The ideal candidate should have:
1. A good general level of education, to a minimum of GCSE level, combined with extensive experience of administration, internal sales, or customer service, specifically B2B.
2. The capacity to cope with a varied workload, be a flexible team player, possessing analytical skills, patience, firmness, and the ability to assess a situation quickly.
3. Proficient computer literacy skills are essential, predominantly MS Word and Excel. Experience of SAP is desirable but not essential.
4. Experience of working in a manufacturing/packaging environment is desirable but not essential.
The working hours are:
Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 5:00pm (45-minute lunch break)
Friday 8:30am – 4:00pm (1 hour lunch break)
