The Workshop Fitter will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and equipment, ensuring they meet manufacturer specifications and health and safety standards. The role requires flexibility in working hours, including potential emergency call-outs, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Key responsibilities include conducting defect inspections, servicing and repairing equipment, and maintaining accurate records. The Workshop Fitter must promote safe working practices, adhere to company procedures regarding health and safety, and actively foster a positive staff morale. Participation in training and development programmes is encouraged to enhance skills and qualifications relevant to the role.
