Lancashire Hospitals Services (Pharmacy) Ltd is delighted to offer a vacancy for a Pharmacy Technician to join our fantastic team. The role is varied with opportunities to work in all three of our branches covering a range of tasks.

Please note full-time hours are 36 hours per week worked over four days. You will need to be enthusiastic, motivated, and demonstrate a desire towards developing our services.
On a day-to-day basis, your duties will vary and help provide a high-quality service to our patients, including customer service, dispensing/checking medicines, or ordering and receiving pharmacy stock.
You will also develop positive working relationships with our colleagues and multidisciplinary team and be a valued member of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to the delivery of a safe and effective pharmacy service.
2. Use EMIS pharmacy stock control and patient medication record system.
3. Manage stock appropriately and contribute to stock management.
4. Accurately dispense prescriptions whilst minimizing patient waiting times.
5. Maintain accurate records.
6. Ensure the safe and accurate issue of prescriptions.
7. Act as an accuracy checker.
8. Purchase, receive, and store medicines.
9. Assist in dispensing and planning prescription deliveries.
10. Work effectively as part of the team to meet company targets.
11. Offer suggestions to improve working processes.
12. Maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues, health professionals, and patients.
13. Participate in quality and/or clinical audit projects.
14. Contribute to the development and review of Standard Operating Procedures.
15. Provide cover for other Pharmacy Technicians across sites, as appropriate.
16. Promote and maintain strong working and customer relationships with key stakeholders.
17. Maintain professional standards.
18. Observe confidentiality requirements.
19. Support the implementation of local and national medicines-related guidance.
20. Supervise the routine work of other staff and assist in activity/workload planning.
21. Provide leadership and act as a role model.
22. Carry out CPD and maintain GPhC Registration.
23. Train, coach, and mentor new and existing members of the team.
24. Work within the Company’s business and strategic plans.
