Contek Recruitment are currently working with a Leading Mechanical and Electrical Contractor who are recruiting for a experienced Electricians to join their existing projects team on a full time, permanent basis. Roles and Responsibilities Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical cabling, Lighting, switchgear, Distributionboards, and fixtures in all types of structures. Maintaining an excellent standard of work. Coordinating with a general contractor and other building professionals on site. Understanding and following 2D Cad Drawings or building plans. Following current 18th regulations. Keeping and maintaining records of time spent on a job and materials purchased for the work. Ensuring receipts and goods received notes are catalogued and filed on the company finance systems that are accessible by mobile phone. Making sure all projects are left clean and tidy. Receiving and signing for goods on site and ensuring that they are stored in a safe and secure place. Responsibility for apprentices onsite training and safety. Responding to electrical emergencies, investigating and problem solving. Performing regular maintenance of electrical systems to prevent emergencies. Essential Requirements The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with senior management to deliver electrical fittings and electrical tasks for the organisation. (If 3rd year would report qualified tradesman/site supervisor on site rather than senior management) ECS card Pasma/IPAF would be an advantage A strong proactive approach to project management. A can do positive attitude. Commercial Electrical experience. Clean driving license. Highly Desirable Requirements Basic. Previous experience operating in a similar role. The ability to work on their own and use initiative in problem solving. The ability to interact with clients professionally and with strong communication. The ability to be flexible with working hours. This is a site-based job, so the ideal candidate would be local to the area, however we work across the North-West so closeness to the office isn’t essential
