We are looking for a positive person with a can do attitude, to Support over 150 stafffrom a multidisciplinary team, with day-to-day IT across 6 sites. Being first port of contact, solving or escalating and reporting to DELT shared servicesfor further IT support for network issues. Supporting with telephony systems.
Being part ofprojects for improvements, running training sessions. Supporting forinformation governance.
Main duties of the job

Drivingis essential for this role to support across all sites.
This post will support Beacon Medical Group in delivering operational IT support to the teams working within our 6 practices. This will involve maintaining telephone systems, IT systems including printers, workstation computers, software and hardware solutions to assist clinicians and administrative staff. Supporting Managers on projects for new system, being part of working groups supporting with knowledge.

The post holder will be required towork with clinicians and managers to identify their IT need and providetechnical to support them in the delivery of healthcare/planning and decisionmaking.
To work to priorities set by theOperations manager in order to contribute to the achievement of objectives andservice levels
To provide a high standard oftechnical support for IT equipment to all staff and stakeholders across theGroup.
To install, configure, maintain andadminister IT equipment and systems for safe, effective use, ensuring users areable to fully utilise all available equipment and resources.
To provide knowledge and expertise inregards to IT Equipment and to effectively support the needs and requirementsof the Group.
Respond to requests from Staff for ITsupport and maintenance issues across the Group.
Work with external contractors being apoint of contact on the site for queries, in order to enable contractors toprovide a seamless integration on IT projects.
To provide training on the use ofhardware and software systems for users, with supporting guides and helpsheets.
To maintain and develop the Groups ITprovision with the assistance of existing NHS IT providers.
Responsiblefor maintaining the organisations ICT and Telephony Asset Register;including ensuring processes for deployment ofportable ICT/ Telephony equipment is done so in line with organisation process.
InCollaboration with the Operational Manager, review and implement ICT policies
Supportthe Operational Manager to ensure ICT Governance is maintained across theorganisation
Supportthe organisation with options appraisals for the procurement of new ICT/Telephony equipment and installations.
Actas ICT communications lead across the group, providing advice, guidance, andtraining to all colleagues, providing clear and regular updates to facilitatebusiness operations to run smoothly and effectively.
Provide first and second line faultfinding, diagnosis and repair to support IT users. Make effective use of theGroups BI Issue Log to respond to support requests, and to maintain records ofdiagnosis and resolution and relevant asset register kept up to date. Identifywhere support requests should be escalated internally, or to a third party toachieve resolution.
To report to managers any downtimethat may affect the group, maintaining the contingencies plan, keeping managersup to date with any changes. Supporting with planning of projects that mayaffect the groups downtime and plan work liaising with the wider managementteam and bringing communications through to suitable meetings or contacts.
Support the group with homeworkingequipment and software, following the groups homeworking policy and liaisingwith managers when this is required, supporting staff working from home andensuing all software and equipment is suitable for use. All homeworkingequipment should have suitable easy to read support guides and trouble shootingsupporting.
Toimplement modifications and improvement where required, supporting withbusiness case and procurement for improvements where suitable.
Maintainand assist with telephone software, handsets, photocopiers, dictation printersand any medical equipment the practice holds or uses to ensure constant runningto support the practice needs. This is not exhaustive list this covers allBeacons equipment and software.
Maintainasset register for all equipment, this must be up to date at all times.
Assist with the installation,appropriate configuration and maintenance of IT equipment, infrastructure andsoftware in accordance with relevant regulations, copyright and legalrequirements. Change shall be documented and follow a set configuration procedurewhere available. Work carried out shall comply with health and safetyrequirements.
Maintain an awareness of developmentsin the IT industry and actively seek to develop and broaden knowledge andskills relevant to the post.
Keep an up-to-date asset log forequipment and a log of software and expiry or update timescales.
Support the group with IT projects andinstallations, making recommendations actively looking to improve and keep thepractice up to date with technologies for improvements.
To provide technical support for theGroups website, appointment systems and any other technical system such asmjog, econsult, this list is not exhaustive
Ensure stock of consumables and partsare monitored and replenished as necessary.
Run annual audits of stock andensuring most cost-effective supplies are acquired .
Provide the group with necessarytraining for equipment needed for their roles and for the groups needs.
To keep up to date and attend relevanttraining to ensure the practice is up to date with all equipment and softwarefollowing the GDPR 2018 act, assisting with DPIA where suitable.
Any other task relevant to the rolethat the management team and partners find suitable to support with.
To be responsible for yourown continuing self-development, undertaking training as appropriate.
To undertake other dutiesappropriate to the grading of the post as required.
