Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Permanent Position

Hours: 32.50 hours per week
8:30am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday (30 minute unpaid lunch break)
We are looking for an excellent Higher Level Teaching Assistant who has a genuine desire for the children in their care to flourish both academically and personally. The successful candidate will be covering classes across the whole school (including nursery) and have significant experience of working with children.

The successful candidate will:
• be supportive of our Catholic values and ethos
• have NVQ 4 or alternative HLTA level qualifications
• have excellent classroom management skills and high expectations of children’s behaviour
• be flexible and adaptable and able to think on their feet
• be creative, dynamic and a positive team member
• be able to utilise advanced skills and curriculum knowledge to prepare high quality teaching sessions across the primary age range.
• have high expectations and understanding of raising achievement
• demonstrate commitment and collaborative working with colleagues in order to maximise children’s learning
• be competent in the use of ICT
• be committed to their own professional development
Salary: Level M £15.46 to £17.47 per hour depending on experience.
