You will provide support with day-to-day activities while encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential through practical and emotional support, making a positive difference in their lives.
Our teams provide care and support for individuals with different conditions at Priory sites across the UK. While previous experience in a similar role is ideal, we are looking for individuals who display the right values and behaviours to make a difference. Responsibilities:
* Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, and eating
* Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting and vacuuming
* Assisting with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning, and movement of individuals
* Providing assistance and support to attend medical appointments
* Observing, monitoring, and recording physical and emotional well-being, and reporting any changes to senior staff
* Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities
Qualifications and Skills:
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature
* Empathy, understanding, and patience
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures
* Competent in verbal and written English
* A healthcare qualification is desirable but not essential

Additional Information:
Priory Hillside is a residential service located just outside of Burnley, providing support to individuals on the autistic spectrum or with a learning disability. We also cater to those with mental health diagnoses, including personality disorders.
