Further Information
Are you an experienced social worker or health care professional with experience in Safeguarding? Do you have a strong passion for protecting vulnerable adults and motivating others to provide high standards of practice? If so, look no further than this exciting opportunity to join our Safeguarding Adults Team in South Tyneside, who are committed to keeping people safe and delivering positive outcomes for those living within our borough.
The role of Advanced Practitioner is to lead the way, role model good practice, and offer guidance and support within the safeguarding team, wider social work teams, and to partner agencies. You will also hold a manageable caseload of complex cases.
As a key member of the leadership team, Advanced Practitioners are expected to assist the Safeguarding Manager in undertaking reflective supervision and facilitating practice improvement, motivating and inspiring our practitioners to provide the highest standards of practice, delivering positive outcomes for people, carers, and their families.
About the Role:
Assigned to our Safeguarding Adults Team, you will undertake a range of strengths-based interventions aligned to the Making Safeguarding Personal agenda, ensuring adults with care and support needs and their families achieve their desired outcomes. Duties include conducting Section 42 Enquiries as required by the Care Act 2014 and supporting colleagues and partner organisations on safeguarding requirements. This role will involve chairing safeguarding meetings, delivering training, and assisting in strategic and developmental work.
About You:
Driven by research and innovation, you must demonstrate an applied knowledge of Adult Social Care legislation and be willing to undertake further learning and development to support your future progression. You will want to practice in a setting that believes in supporting individuals to remain independent in their communities.
If you are committed to adults having choice and control over their support, maximising opportunities for independence and well-being, and working in partnership, then this is the job for you.

Joining us at this time will ensure you are at the forefront of developing and embedding co-production and co-delivery, delivering new models of working through our Adult Social Care framework. We remain committed to supporting our staff to grow and develop, providing opportunities to use your skills and learn new ones.
