We are looking for an individual to join our talented team at NHS Fife. We are one of the most dynamic health boards in Scotland, providing a full range of primary, community, mental health, acute and elective hospital services for a population of around 370,000 across the Kingdom of Fife. We are rooted in the communities we serve and are driven by our vision to improve the health of our population by developing integrated healthcare services delivered through our highly talented and committed workforce.
We work with local people and partners across health, social care, and the voluntary sector in innovative ways to improve health and wellbeing for all our communities. Our key priority will be to develop closer integrated and collaborative ways of working with all our partners to implement our new Health and Wellbeing Strategy.
We now require an exceptional Head of Pharmacy Population Health and Wellbeing, to fulfil this key senior role which is responsible for the leadership and development of primary care, community pharmacy and public health services in Fife. A key function of this role will be continuing to evolve pharmacy practice across primary care to enable the role of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to be fully realised by continuing to develop the role of Medicines Management Support Workers. The Head of Pharmacy needs to be able to inspire and lead our workforce to ensure our services are fit for the future and deliver the best care for patients.
As an inspirational team leader, you will help to guide a highly engaged team to transform the way we deliver pharmacy services in line with our core values of dignity and respect; care and compassion; openness, honesty, and responsibility; and quality and teamwork.
Reporting to NHS Fife’s Deputy Director of Pharmacy and Medicines, the post holder will also be expected to develop strong collaborative working relationships across the organization, to support transformation of services. This is vitally important to how we deliver future sustainable health and care services to support people across Fife.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to provide dynamic strategic direction and operational leadership, in the planning, management and provision of our clinical pharmacy services.
If you are excited by the prospect of joining one of NHS Scotland’s most dynamic and forward-thinking Boards, and by the opportunity to shape and evolve hospital pharmacy clinical services, we would love to hear from you.

However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
