1. Job Title: Roving Facilities Manager
2. Location: Based in Newcastle Upon Tyne
3. Contract Details: Permanent
4. Salary: From £35, per annum + Car Allowance
5. Driving Required: Yes - car parking space available
6. Working Pattern: Full Time - 40 hours per week
Responsibilities:
As the Roving Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring the effective management of health, safety, and facilities across a multi-site, multiclient portfolio of commercial and mixed-use properties. Your key responsibilities will include:
7. Managing and monitoring the delivery of both hard and soft services on site to ensure high levels of performance.
8. Conducting regular contract meetings with suppliers and assessing their performance and compliance
9. Procuring goods and services in line with departmental procedures
10. Validating invoices and monitoring expenditure
11. Managing and coordinating minor works on site
12. Conducting regular property inspections and reporting on health and safety, property condition, and service delivery
13. Implementing and maintaining health, safety, and environmental management systems
14. Assisting in the production and management of service charge budgets
15. Resolving service and maintenance issues within acceptable time frames
16. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date property information
17. Working within a team of 3 other Facilities Managers
18. Site visits as far as Teeside, Alnwick, Carlisle, and Whitby.
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
19. NEBOSH General Certificate
20. Membership of BIFM and/or IOSH at the appropriate level (highly desirable)
21. Excellent communication skills
22. Flexible and adaptable attitude
23. Strong initiative and self-motivation
24. Good understanding of Facilities Management and Managing Agent responsibilities
25. Knowledge of Landlord and Tenant relationships in commercial property
26. Experience in managing Health and Safety and related issues.
27. Contract management skills and experience with performance management systems.
28. Sound knowledge of soft services aspects of Facilities Management
29. Understanding of Hard services in the Facilities environment
30. Interest in the business and development of the Commercial division within the Property teams
