Main duties of the job
We are looking for a motivated professional with excellent communication skills who has the ability to work as part of a corporate skill mixed team delivering delegated components of the Healthy Child Programme (DH 2021). You will be part of a skill mixed team and you will be required to promote child health and parenting skills for families by participating in planned programmes of care under the supervision of a registered practitioner. You will need to be committed to working to achieve healthy outcomes for children and have an awareness of aspects of safeguarding children whilst being supported by robust organisational supervision, guidelines and policies. With a positive approach to customer care, you will need to be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, prioritise your workload and manage your time efficiently. Applicants must have excellent IT skills as you will be required to record clinical data in the electronic record system. Applicants must hold an NNEB Diploma or equivalent NVQ Level 3 in Early Years. Due to the nature of the post, it is expected that you will have access to a car, a full driving licence and insurance for business use.

Qualifications
* NNEB Diploma or equivalent NVQ Level 3 in Child Care
* Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care
* Diploma in Pre-school Practice
* Evidence-based Parenting qualifications.
Experience
* Healthy Child Programme (DH 2021)
* Normal child development
* Public health issues relevant to children, young people and their families; healthy eating/lifestyles, smoking cessation.
* Parenting and behaviour management strategies
* Safeguarding children policies and guidelines.
* Work with children, young people and families in a range of health settings
* Experience of working collaboratively with other agencies.
* Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively, independently and within a team.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Good computer literacy with the ability to keep accurate and legible records.
* Ability to communicate professionally at all times with Children and Young People, professional colleagues and partner agencies.
* Maintain confidentiality in accordance with Trust Policy, NHS Code of Confidentiality and the Data Protection Act 1998.
