We have a fantastic opportunity for a recently Graduated Structural or Mechanical Engineer or Project Manager to work in the field of temporary works, joining our client in Bristol on a full time, permanent basis.

Our client is a privately-owned scaffold and temporary works company that provides expert solutions within the Construction, Civil Engineering, and Rail sectors. The business has enjoyed great success and is proud to say that 80% of their work is based on repeat business or referrals. They have provided recent design and installation for companies such as Highways England, Network Rail, Skanska, and Balfour Beatty to name a few.
Job Overview
The business is now looking ahead to the future and has an impressive growth plan, beginning with the recruitment of a Junior Project Manager to support the technical department and develop their personal skill set. You will be entering a project management role under the mentorship and guidance of the operations manager.
Responsibilities
1. Project Management
2. Identify and organise materials and equipment for each assigned project, ensuring timely delivery onto site.
3. Prepare method statements and risk assessments in advance of project start dates, and ensure changes are captured in subsequent revisions.
4. Communicate and liaise with customer site teams to ensure technical and programme issues are dealt with in a timely fashion.
5. Ensure handover certificates, Scaff tags, and permit to load certificates are issued to project site managers.
6. Carry out site inspections.
7. Survey project sites and gather information required to produce design briefs and drawings.
8. Work on a mix of commercial and industrial projects throughout the UK.
Design Office Activity
1. Continual self-learning through the learning programme as agreed with the manager.
2. Use software as directed for project management, task management, customer relationship management, and time recording.
