This is the post We are looking for a Team Manager in HR Operations to work with other Team Managers to manage our HR casework teams. As a Team Manager in HR Operations, you will be responsible for managing a team of operational staff and providing expert advice on complex and varied HR cases and queries. You will also contribute to the development of professional practice within the team and the service and maintain an area of specialist HR knowledge. You will work in a fast-paced environment, where you will balance your own often high-risk caseload with the needs of your staff and customers. In addition, you will play a key role in guiding and implementing our HR policies and practices. You will champion and model the Voice and Belonging themes of our People Strategy, which aims to create a respectful and diverse workplace, where our employees have a say in decisions and feel valued for their work. Additionally, you will enhance the quality and efficiency of service through data analysis and quality assurance measures and oversee HR projects throughout the service operations. Your main duties will include: Making data driven decisions to improve service performance and quality. Leading changes in practice and approach to improve service performance. Managing and contributing to service-wide HR projects. Leading and managing HR Advisers who provide HR consultancy and support. Promoting and marketing HR services and SLAs. Supporting HR advisers to resolve complex HR issues and preparing settlement agreements. Addressing formal legal challenges and preparing for court proceedings. Ensuring a seamless and integrated service for customers. Covering for Head of Casework as needed. This is you You are a dynamic and experienced HR professional who can lead and inspire a team of HR advisers to deliver excellent HR services to the council and its partners. You have: A relevant HR qualification or equivalent experience. A proven track record of managing and developing HR teams and services in a complex and changing environment. Excellent knowledge and understanding of HR best practice, legislation, and trends. Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with a variety of stakeholders. A customer-focused and solution-oriented approach, with the ability to balance competing demands and priorities. A commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and learning.
