Job Summary
Lead a team of General Assistants, ensuring they are trained and competent in various tasks, including customer service, food preparation, and cleaning. The role involves setting work schedules, delivering on-the-job instruction, and monitoring team performance. The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to working hours, be supportive of colleagues, and have a can-do attitude.
Key Responsibilities
* Team Leadership/Supervision:
• Set work schedules and ensure all staff are trained and competent
• Deliver on-the-job instruction and coaching on day-to-day work tasks
• Monitor and provide feedback to team members daily
• Liaise with management to address performance gaps
• Support team members with customer service skills and knowledge
* Operations:
• Carry out catering activities under the direction of the chef manager
• Ensure food is delivered on time to quality standards
• Serve food and beverage at additional functions
• Clean service facilities and equipment
• Assist in planning services efficiently
* Health, Safety, Environmental and Service:
• Ensure work is carried out in accordance with H&S legislation and company requirements
• Organise ordering of raw materials and cleaning chemicals
• Advise managers of planned maintenance and repairs
• Investigate customer complaints and recommend corrective action
