The role is ideal for people experienced in leading a team but could also be suitable as a development position for anyone looking to grow their leadership skills further. 12 hour shift pattern: Days 7am-7pm - Nights 7pm-7am - 4 on 4 off Our Team In the UK, Guardian Glass is continually looking for talented individuals to help us continue our growth and presence in the regional and global market. All UK manufacturing is based at our plant in Goole, East Yorkshire which has recently made significant investment in a new furnace using the latest technology and secures glass manufacture at the site for the next 20 years. The plant, which operates 24/7, can produce some of the most advanced and innovative energy saving architectural glass on the market today. What You Will Do Connect yourself and your team to company safety vision, ensure that all tasks are completed according to company safety standards, build safety competence within your team and strive for safety excellence in your area of responsibility. Have a clear understanding of the quality vision, standards and customer’s needs and continually encourage customer focused culture within the team. Engage, drive and advance our PBM culture to create the right environment for people to work and succeed in their roles. Build a high-performing team by understanding your direct reports individual capabilities and utilise them to maximise the value creation for the team as a whole. Work with the team to create personalised development plans, deliver meaningful coaching and be involved in selecting and retaining the right people. Drive the plant and business transformation plans by challenging the status quo and eliminating waste from current operations. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Commitment to promoting behaviours aligned to the Company’s visions, values and code of conduct. A Safety leader with a customer and quality focused approach. Proven experience in manufacturing operations. Experience of leading a high performing team. Ability to lead and motivate a team. Ability to communicate at all levels across the business to maintain/improve internal customer supplier relationships.
