Are you looking to lead a children's home that is committed to making a positive and lasting difference to children's lives?
We are looking for an experienced Ofsted registered manager, with a proven track record to join us as we open our third Ofsted Registered Children's home.
DP Care Group is a social care provider for both supported accommodation and Ofsted registered children's homes providing quality care to children and young people with emotional support needs.
This is an exciting time for us as we expand our current range of services for regulated homes for children and have a registered manager vacancy at our third and soon to be acquired fourth home.
The current RM vacancy is for our recently acquired home in Kilsby, Rugby which will accommodate a further three young people aged between seven and eighteen with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
We pride ourselves in ensuring our homes are excellent environments for children to thrive, with this home being no exception. It is spacious and comprises five bedrooms, with lounge, kitchen/diner, games room, separate garage and outside multi-purpose summer house all located in a tranquil village position.
Job Description
Initially, you will be required to support the responsible individual in preparing the home and taking it through the Ofsted registration process, where you will be encouraged to 'put your stamp' on your new home. This will include establishing relationships with key stakeholders, commissioning teams, and local businesses; identifying referrals, all pre-admission risk management, and setting the ethos of the home in line with organisational standards.
Your ongoing role will be to help recruit and lead a team of adults in supporting the children and young people at the home, managing safeguarding matters, quality assurance, and oversight of all day-to-day processes. Using inclusive and motivational approaches, you will drive standards for the home and improve outcomes for children in line with legislative regulation and key performance indicators.
As a small but growing organisation, we are keen to promote from within, so staff development and performance management will also be a key feature of your role.
You will also be required to provide quality reporting, monitor budgets, problem-solve, and risk manage with an overall aim for ongoing reduction in risk.
This is a great opportunity to continue your career in social care, working as part of a team committed to helping children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
