We have exciting opportunities for a Lawyer to join Dorset Council's busy legal property team. We are looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable candidates, to work with the lawyers in our property team who carry out transactional work and advise on a wide range of property and related matters. Property work within a council setting is particularly wide ranging and interesting. We advise Council Officers, Council Members and also some external clients such as Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Authority. Our work covers a very wide range of property related work. Our Lawyers are involved in sales and purchases of property, leases (including of commercial/agricultural/retail/hospitality/development property), the grant of easements, occupational licences and many other interesting areas of property work. The Council also has an ongoing programme of academy conversions, community asset transfers and other community based projects in Dorset. You will need to be a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (with the relevant practicing certificate). This is a full time role at 37 hours per week.
