The Supplies team currently have a vacancy for a Supplies Inventory assistant based in Letchworth. The job involves a mixture of driving, warehouse work as well as administrative duties.
This role fills several purposes within the Supplies department and involves warehouse work, admin work and courier work. Each day can be different based on operational pressures.
This role will involve heavy lifting.
The Supplies Inventory Assistants are the backbone of the Supplies department fulfilling a vital role in the Supply chain of clinical goods, clinical equipment, drugs, and consumables, ensuring each Trust department has the supplies they need to deliver outstanding patient care.
The postholder must be able to drive a Luton type delivery vehicle as work will often require courier deliveries across East of England and will involve manual handling, computer work and warehouse duties.
The postholder will be allocated tasks by the Supplies Inventory Coordinator, Supplies Supervisor or Supplies Manager and will be flexible in completing the tasks allocated.
