Job summary This is a substantive Consultant Dermatologist appointment at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. The post is for 10 PAS at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Consultants may be asked to work at other sites. This post is based at the NNUHFT and applications are invited from candidates with experience of Mohs micrographic surgery and an interest in Dermatological surgery and Skin Cancer. The NNUH Dermatology team includes 15 substantive consultants, 3 nurse consultants and 1 locum consultant.A candidate who is unable for personal reasons to undertake the duties of a whole-time post will receive equal consideration. If such a candidate is appointed the job content will be modified as appropriate in consultation with consultant colleagues and local management. Main duties of the job The appointment is to the Trust, not to specific hospitals. All consultants, including the appointee, will be expected to be involved in implementing the Trust's Clinical Governance programme. This includes active participation in clinical audit, quality, clinical guidelines/pathways, professional development, appraisal and risk management. The appointee will be a member of the Consultant Staff Committee and be expected to serve on this committee. Annual and study leave should be taken with at least 6 weeks' notice in collaboration with colleagues and fitting with the requirements of the department.
