This role is part time, 18.75 hours per week
City & Hackney is a diverse and exciting place to work. We are looking for a motivated team player with clinical dietetic experience to join our innovative and proactive dietetic team of community Dietitians. The small community team is part of the wider Adult Community Rehabilitation Team including Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and Rehab Assistants.
The community dietetic team is also a part of Homerton University Hospital including acute dietetics, paediatrics, bariatrics and diabetes services. We actively promote working together to ensure seamless care across the acute and community setting.
The post will give you the opportunity to maintain and develop your clinical skills in the area of Nutrition Support including Home Enteral Feeding, IBS, gastroenterology, palliative care, neurology, oncology and other general dietetic referrals
You will be working with patients and carers in the community setting assessing and treating clients in their own homes, nursing homes and in the clinic outpatient setting.
The successful candidate will be an excellent team player, will possess excellent clinical reasoning skills, a balance of empathy and emotional resilience and advanced communication skills. We are committed to work-based education and training to improve clinical skills and we actively encourage CPD and audit. You will take an active part in training students and other staff.
This post is located in the community and you will be based at Orsman Road and may be required to work at various sites as dictated by the needs of the service.
